Mike Jung

MANAGING PARTNER

Michael Jung is Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Grit Road Partners. Since early 2020, Mr. Jung has been focused on creating, developing and launching the Grit Road Ag-Venture investment fund. Grit Road is a Midwest-based investment platform that invests seed capital in high-growth AgTech start-ups, focused on solving Midwest producer problems. Since its launch in August 2021, Grit Road Ag-Venture has established itself as a leader in the agtech space through the partnership with Invest Nebraska as well as others industrial and multi-generational agricultural partners. Grit Road and it’s partners have strong Midwest roots and proven track record in the investment and development of businesses in agricultural and technology-related fields.

It is Grit Road’s goal to have Ag-Venture to serve as a catalyst in strengthening and broadening the agtech ecosystem and to ultimately make Nebraska/Midwest the Global AgTech Hub. Mr. Jung is a member of the Ag Builders Nebraska.

Prior to Grit Road Partners, Mr. Jung had worked at Burlington Capital for 18 years, and held the title CEO and President of Burlington Capital International. In his role Mr. Jung was responsible for overseeing and managing Burlington’s involvement in their agriculture and agribusiness-related business and investments. During his time at Burlington Mr. Jung was responsible for helping expand Burlington’s global focus from Russia and the Former Soviet Union into North America, Africa, Latin America, Central Asia and Southeast Asia.

Ben Williamson

MANAGING DIRECTOR

Ben Williamson is a co-founder and Managing Director for Grit Road Partners, one of the Midwest’s leading AgTech seed funds. Ben has also lead the investment team for Invest Nebraska Corporation (who runs the Combine AgTech Incubator) for over six years and also serves as the company’s General Counsel. Additionally, prior to both endeavors, Ben spent several years as an in-house corporate attorney in the financial services space and also has experience as a small business owner. Ben has led over 100 early-stage venture deals in his career and has worked with over one-thousand companies and founders, including hundreds in the AgTech space to help them get their companies off the ground and begin to scale.
